Department of Neurology

Neurology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of the nervous system, including disorders of the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system.

The main objective of the department is to provide high quality care to patients who have neurological diseases, in the neurological wards

The Neurological Department  at Multidisciplinary city hospital №1 has been open since 2009. The ward is designed for 40 beds. It conducts round the clock scheduled and emergency treatment, and includes options for paid services as well as for those patients with a certificate of insurance.

The main activities of the Neurology Department at Multidisciplinary city hospital №1:

• examination, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with acute and chronic diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system
• cerebrovascular disease, including the effects of cerebral infarctions, non-traumatic and traumatic intracranial haemorrhage
• dealing with the consequences of inflammatory diseases of the nervous system
• extrapyramidal and movement disorders, including Parkinson's Disease and secondary Parkinsonism
• degenerative - dystrophic diseases, including acute and chronic pain syndrome in certain diseases (osteochondrosis and its complications)
